You can print free staff paper right here: pick a template, set the number of staves, and print. You'll find blank staves with or without a clef, piano grand staff, guitar or bass tablature, staff with tab, and blank chord charts. Everything is generated on this page, for free, and you don't need to sign up.

Start by choosing “Staff paper”, then pick your template. For tab and chord charts, first choose guitar or bass as your instrument at the top of the page.
Each sheet has a number: write it down to get exactly the same sheet again (handy to give a whole class the same homework).

Which template to choose
- Staves with a clef are made for writing exercises and dictation.
- Blank staves are for composing or copying music, in any clef.
- Piano paper joins a treble staff and a bass staff into a grand staff.
- Tablature has six lines for guitar or four for bass, with the string names.
- Staff and tab puts notation above tablature, as in guitar method books.
- Chord charts give you blank fretboard diagrams to write your chords in.
When you print, choose your paper size and a scale of 100 percent. Only the site name and a sheet number appear at the bottom of the page, nothing else.

How do I print staff paper?

How many staves per page?
Eight to ten staves per page leave you enough room to write clearly. The generator offers six, eight or ten.
Is there blank tab for bass?
Yes. Choose bass as your instrument at the top of the page, then pick the Tablature template. The tab switches to four lines, with the string names.
